Pommy New York is a brand created by the Brazilian artist Tati Vitsic, launched in June 2014. The illustrations and patterns at Pommy have a colorful, playful, fun and youth style.

“It’s a celebration of life and all things that make you feel pretty and happy… Because growing up should be a delightful experience.”

Pommy New York licenses it’s patterns and illustrations and they can be used not only on kids products, but also for a young audience and adults. You can use them in a wide range of products, like textiles, paper goods, home decor, bedding, etc.

 

The Artist

Tati Vitsic

Tati Vitsic – Designer creator of Pommy New York

Tati Vitsic is an artist, illustrator, graphic and web designer born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in April 1976. As early as 13 years old, Tati was already participating in adult art salons, in which she won 4 medals and other prizes.

Tati graduated as a graphic designer in Brazil in 1999. She also took classes in New York at the School of Visual Arts and Pratt Institute in 1996, 2005 and 2012. She started working as a webdesigner in the year 2000, and was responsible for the website of USA Network Brasil for a couple of years, besides developing freelance projects for many clients.

She lived in NY from 2006 to 2009 and worked at the award-winning internet agency Alexander Interactive, where she worked for clients such as: Citigroup, Ivanka Trump, Caché, Kaplan, Action Envelope, Steiner Sports, PetCareRx, among others. At Ai, she won an Outstanding Achievement Award from the IMA (Interactive Media Awards), for being the leading designer at Caché Prom 2008 website.

MERCI DESIGNSBack to Brazil she opened, in 2010, a stationery company called MERCI DESIGNS (mercidesigns.com) and worked as a graphic designer at Petrobras. She also developed work for the companies: Arqplan Construtora, Certsolutions, Umpraum, Lar Arquitetura, Adaequare and MobFlex.

In May 2014, she finished the 1 Year Associate Degree in Textile/Surface Design at Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York. Afterwards, she interned as a surface designer at the kids apparel company Parigi Group for 8 months, creating designs for clients such as: Roxy, Lucky Brand, Reebok, DKNY, Perry Ellis, etc. Now Tati Vitsic is doing freelance work in the areas of surface design, graphic design and illustration.
